Chiswick Garden with Outdoor Kitchen
This garden in Chiswick previously felt very enclosed with large raised beds blocking the view to the rest of the garden and making the space feel small. We were asked to design a contemporary space to compliment the house with plenty of room to relax as a family, entertain friends and most importantly, cook outside.
The raised beds were completely removed to open up the space and a large outdoor kitchen with BBQ, pizza oven and outdoor fridge was covered with a matching canopy to provide shelter in the rain.
A large deck was, laid with IPE hardwood boards, provides plenty of room for relaxing on the large outdoor sofa. Steps lead up a limestone dinning terrace with space for eight people to eat. Planting spills over the staggers paving to soften the edges of the hard landscaping.
Lighting controlled by a smart phone app provides a welcoming evening ambiance and a useable outside space after dark.
