West Byfleet Bespoke Pergola
The owners of this large family home in West Byfleet had recently removed a large tree from the main terrace which had opened up the space to the neighbouring property. They were therefore looking for a structure that could provide shade and privacy whilst create a smooth transition from the house into the garden.
The final design was for a bespoke pergola with a dark grey frame and Wester Red Cedar slats that gave both dappled shade and privacy. These slats were extended down the side of the pergola and these act as a trellis for Star Jasmin to be grown up.
The Cedar panels were floated 50mm inside the frame and supported with stainless steel rods which provides a contemporary feel and also allows them to swing open to provide the window cleaners with access when required.
